Blink Twice has been the electronic music outlet for Robert Salchak since 1992 when he started releasing his homemade cassettes through the zine underground. With the support of some the first influential European electronic music zines such as Crewzine, Phosphor, Wounded, and of course the surviving Sideline magazine, Blink Twice gained enough recognition to e regarded as one of America's top underground dark ambient artsts. The first CD release, 'Other Location's, on Broken Seal records in Germany reinforced that status with numerous great reviews comparing the sound of old Delerium, Dead Can Dance, and Raison D'Etre. The second CD, 'Newer Unknown Breads', was just the beginning indication of how Blink Twice chooses not to sray in the same mold for too long. It offered a more diverse concoction of electronic beats, arasive samples, and dark melodies. 'The Demon Haunted World' was the first release on Possessive Blindfold, the current home of Blink Twice. It marked Robert Salchak's next step in his evolution of sound. Bringing back a darker bleakness to the sound and letting several tracks flesh out over 12 minutes long gave this release the description of 'a soundtrack to one's own nightmare'. On the current PB release, 'The Holistic Approach', Blink Twice releases it's most diverse and maybe most accessible collection of electronic music. Covering areas of electronica, dark tribal, ambient, and mysterious soundtrack stylings leaves one wondering what vast horizon awaits the next Blink Twice project.
